To provide a deodorant composition containing an extract of Mate tea, and exhibiting high deodorant effects even in a weak acidic condition, because a conventional deodorant composition obtained by using the extract of the Mate tea has benefits of no side effect and high safety because of an extract originated from a natural product, but further has defects of extremely reducing the deodorant effects in the weak acidic condition.
The high deodorant effects are recognized in the weak acidic condition in which the deodorant effects of the conventional deodorant composition using the extract of the Mate tea are reduced by using the extract of the Mate tea in combination with laccase. The strong bitterness and astringency possessed by the Mate tea can be reduced by extracting the extract of the Mate tea by two stage.
