Opposing a reflector 1, a deodorization unit 4 is placed which is constituted of a light source 2 and a photocatalyst element 3 arranged in this order toward the front, and the sealed space 14a of the deodorization unit 4 is arranged in an air circulation path 6 where air is circulated. Light from the light source 2 is reflected on the reflector 1 to irradiate the element 3 with it to decompose odoriferous substances in air by the element 3. The sealed space 14 of the deodorization unit 4 is arranged in the air circulation path 6, the light from the light source 2 is efficiently reflected by the reflector 1 to irradiate the element 3 with it to decompose the odoriferous substances in the air by the element 3. Thus, handling is easy, and the sealed space can permanently be deodorized. That is, the sealed space especially difficult to maintain can easily be deodorized, and the life of the unit is prolonged.
