Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing substance both inexpensive and high in safety, and widely usable in the field of foods, the field of environment or the like.
SOLUTION: This deodorizing substance is obtained through the treatment of a raw material selected from sweet potato juice, and molasses prepared from sweet potato via the column chromatography. In this case, the liquid of the raw material is fed to a column filled with a synthetic adsorbent as a fixed carrier. Components adsorbed to the synthetic adsorbent are eluted, using a solvent selected from water, methanol, ethanol and a mixture thereof, and a fraction as the deodoring substance is thereby prepared.
