PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of recording an image on both surfaces without the occurrence of the laying of one piece of paper on top of the other, nonfeeding, the disorder of a page, jamming, etc., at the time of feeding a transfer paper regardless of the kind of the transfer paper.

CONSTITUTION: The image forming device capable of recording the image on both surfaces in such a manner that the image is recorded on one surface of the transfer paper l fed from a feeding part 7 by the image forming part and then, the transfer paper is ejected/loaded on a sided tray 2 and further, refed to an image forming part, to record the image on the other surface of the transfer paper-is provided with the double sided tray 2 loading/refeeding the transfer paper whose one surface has the record of the image, an approaching roller 3 arranged so as to freely vertically move on the double sided tray and reversing the advancing direction of the transfer paper, a driving means vertically moving the approaching roller and a detecting means 5 detecting the tailing edge of the transfer paper after being reversed in its advancing direction and executes control so as to move the approaching roller from a position where it is in contact with the transfer paper on the double sided tray to a position where the approaching roller is retreated upward by the driving means after the tailing edge 1a of the transfer paper after being reversed in its advancing direction is detected by the detecting means 5.
