PURPOSE: To shorten a hyphal culture period and remarkably increase the yield by improving both the so-called fungal spread of a mushroom culture medium and a method for scratching a fungus.

CONSTITUTION: This method for cultivating Agrocybe cylindracea Maire relates to a method for using each cultivation bottle 2 for housing a mushroom culture medium 3 provided with an inoculating hole 4 for spawns and is to especially apply prescribed vibration to the cultivation bottle 2 only for a prescribed time during or after inoculating the spawns 5 and simultaneously carry out the scratching of the fungus only for a part other than the inoculating hole 4 after culturing hyphae.
