Title:
DESULFURIZING METHOD FOR CATALYTIC CRACKING GASOLINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3398273
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To desulfurize a catalytic cracking gasoline contg. sulfur compds. and olefin compds. without decreasing the octane number by isomerizing terminal olefins in the gasoline into internal olefins and then hydrodesulfurizing the gasoline.
SOLUTION: A catalytic cracking gasoline contg. sulfur compds. and olefin compds. contg. 2vol.% or higher terminal olefins is desulfurized by a process comprising the first step wherein the gasoline is brought into contact with a catalyst having an acidic functional group to isomerize terminal olefins in the gasoline into internal olefins and the second step wherein the gasoline is brought into contact with a hydrodesulfurization catalyst comprising a desulfurizationactive metal carried by a porous inorg. oxide carrier. The first and second steps are conducted by using one reactor filled with catalysts in two layers or by using two reactors filled with different catalysts.
