Abstract:
To provide a ball catcher that makes it possible to easily and simply catch and collect a comparatively light ball without heavy physical burden, has a simple structure, and is inexpensive.SOLUTION: A ball catcher 1 is detachably attachable to a tip of a handle 20 and has a plurality of legs (grip parts) 1B having elastic restoration force. In the case that the ball catcher is not in use, a diameter φd of an inscribed circle passing through contact points p, of each tip of the plurality of legs 1B, to be brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of a ping-pong ball (ball) 30 is smaller than an external diameter φD of the ping-pong ball 30 (φd<φD). When the legs 1B are pressed to the ping-pong ball 30 from above in the case that the ball catcher is in use, the legs 1B are expanded and the ball catcher grips and catches the ping-pong ball 30 using frictional resistance force generated at the contact points p between the legs 1B and the ping-pong ball 30 by its elastic restoration force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
