PURPOSE: To prevent the trouble of a paper feeding system from occurring, and to make it possible to give the alarm of recording abnormality by enabling a facsimile equipment to give the alarm by detecting the abnormality of paper feeding.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet of paper 11 is carried intermittently by paper feeding roller 1 and pressure roller 5 and when protrusion 12 on the circumference of detection disc 9 rotating in the same direction as roller 5 passes through groove 13 of non- contact detector 10, a signal of one pulse is generated. Counter 14 starts counting motor driving pulse (ai) of roller 1 by receiving the 1st pulse (bi) and stops counting by the 2nd pulse (bi). While disc 9 is rotating normally, counter 14 counts pulse (ai) repeatedly and if paper feeding becomes abnormal owing to the slip between roller 1 and paper 11, no pulse (bi) is supplied to counter 14, so that when the number of counted pulses (ai) reaches a fixed value, signal (c) will be outputted to put buzzer 16 to work
