To develop a safe, environmentally friendly, inorganic detergent free of conventionally used toxic substances which are subject to regulation under the Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc.

The detergent which is excellent in detergency, is harmless to humans and causes no environmental pollution is successfully developed by using a neutral salt of a fluoride, which is a non-toxic substance free from regulation under the Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. A complex compound formed between the neutral salt and a weak acid comprising an organic acid is used as the inorganic detergent.
