This developer consists of a toner contg. a bonding resin and a colorant and a carrier obtd. by coating the surfaces of magnetic particles with polyolefin resin and contains org. fine particles contg. (meth)acrylic ester in a part near the surface of the carrier. The (meth)acrylic ester has an alicyclic structure and is contained by 10-90wt.% of the amt. of the org. fine particles. It is, e.g. cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate. Then org. fine particles have 0.4-2.4wt.% water content and 30-800nm average primary particle diameter and contains a crosslinking agent.
