Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for electrophotographic process capable of enhancing the flow property of accumulated toners and decreasing the residual amt. of the toners.
SOLUTION: An elastic body 24, such as coiled spring, which moves according to rotation of an agitator 28 is disposed and a rib 22 for regulating the movement is projectingly disposed. The elastic body 24 moves when a blade 32 of the agitator 28 turns to push and displace the elastic body 24, but its movement is regulated by contact with the rib 22, by which the elastic body is deformed and elastic force is formed. The elastic force of the elastic body 24 is released and its initial shape is restored when the blade 32 turns further and parts gradually from the elastic body 24. At this time, impact is applied on the toners 38 existing in a dead zone B-B' off the agitator rotating region, by which the vibration is generated in a lower frame 26. As a result, the toners 38 of the dead zone are eventually moved within the radius of rotation of the agitator 28 and the accumulated toners 38 are smoothly moved within the developing device 12.
