To provide a developing device of a long service life capable of dispensing with toner replenishment by a user, and making the size smaller and thinner.
This developing device 1 is provided with a developing roller making an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor visible, a housing 2 for housing a developing roller so as to be rotated and containing developer inside, and agitating paddles 11 housed in the housing 2 for agitating the developer and for feeding the developer to the developing roller side. The developing device is integrally provided with a replenishing developer containing chamber 20 on the position in the approximately horizontal direction of the housing 2, a developer guiding hole 23 communicating between the replenishing developer containing chamber 20 and the inside of the housing 2 is formed on a side wall 5, and an inclined wall 22 is formed on a bottom part of the replenishing developer containing chamber 20. Hence, when the developer in the housing 2 is reduced, the developer in the replenishing developer containing chamber 20 slides the inclined wall 22 by effect of gravity, and allowed to flow in the housing 2 from the developer guiding hole 23.
