Abstract:

To provide a developing roller capable of more reliably preventing fusion-bonding of toner to a charging blade and the occurrence of white stripes caused thereby than a conventional one.

A roller body 2 of a developing roller 1 is formed of a rubber composition including styrene butadiene rubber in a proportion of 10 mass% or more and 70 mass% or less based on the overall amount of a base rubber. An outer peripheral surface 5 of the roller body 2 has a surface roughness Ra of 0.78 μm or more and 1.8 μm or less. The outer peripheral surface 5 may have an oxide film 6 formed by irradiation of ultraviolet rays. In the outer peripheral surface 5, it is preferable that a toner adhesive force is 18 nN or more and 38 nN or less.
