Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the interval between rolls which are provided on a spindle by large strokes.
SOLUTION: A fixed roll 5A is provided through a roll sleeve 6 on the spindle 2 which is rotationally driven and also a movable roll 5 and passive thread part 13a are provided on a slide sleeve 13 which is freely slidable only in the axial direction fit on a roll sleeve 6. A connectable/separable adjusting sleeve 18 is provided through a sleeve connecting/separating means 31 having the connecting teeth of a gear ring 33 which is arranged on a supporting sleeve 16 and locking teeth which is freely lockable and unlockable with the connecting teeth on the supporting sleeve 16 which is fixed to the roll sleeve 6. Simultaneously, a driving thread part 18a which is fit in the passive thread part 13a is formed on this adjusting sleeve 18 and, by fitting the acting body 52 at the tip into the locking hole of the adjusting sleeve 18 with a clamp arm 51 which is freely rotatably supported with an external bearing frame 3, the detent of the adjusting sleeve 18 is executed and also the locking teeth is separated from the connecting teeth.
