Title:
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING DRIVE OF HYBRID VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3624575
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of shocks when changing over a driving mode, in a hybrid vehicle which is provided with an engine and an electric motor as power sources for running and which runs in a plurality of driving modes showing different operating states of the power sources.
SOLUTION: When the operating states of both the engine and the electric motor and judged to be changed in changing a driving mode is Step SA1 or SA12, a command value TE is outputted to change the engine torque TE is Step SA3 or SA14. It is not until the engine torque TE is judged to have actually changed in Step SA6 or SA17 that a command value TM is outputted to change the motor torque TM in Step SA8 or SA19. By constituting the system this way, the torque change is enabled to start nearly at the same time in spite of difference in time required for the engine and the electric motor to respond to the torque change. As a result, the resultant torque is not disturbed so that the occurrence of a shock is suppressed.
