To provide a device for detecting deviation of a rolling roll with which the deviation in the axial direction of rotation of the rolling rolls are arranged on a continuous hot rolling line can be detected.
The device for detecting the deviation of the rolling roll includes: two non-contact displacement detectors S1n, S2n which are arranged oppositely to each side face of an upper rolling roll R1n and a lower rolling roll R2n which are rotationally driven in a pair and have a caliber; and a control device 1 for recording the detection data about the displacement of the each side face which are obtained from the respective non-contact displacement detectors, on a recording device 2. The controlling device determines whether there is the deviation in the axial direction of the upper rolling roll or the lower rolling roll or not on the basis of the change of the obtained detection data.
