Title:
DEVICE FOR DETECTING WALKING POSITION AND DEVICE FOR GUIDING PASSAGE FOR PEDESTRIAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3781506
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect a walking position.
SOLUTION: A navigation device 14 that is equipped integrally with a transmitter 5 near the abdomen of a walker 40 is fitted. Both legs of the walker 40 are fitted with receivers 31 and 32. A transmitter 56 and the receivers 31 and 32 are connected to one another with a cable. The transmitter 56 and the receivers 31 and 32 constitute a three-dimensional magnetic sensor and detects positions and moving direction of the receivers 31 and 32 in relation to the transmitter 56, that is, moving distance and moving direction of the legs 41 and 42. Map matching is made in the navigation device 14 and the position of the walker 40 is displayed also on a map. Since the both legs 41 and 42 are attached with the receivers 31 and 32 as relative position sensors, it becomes possible to directly detect actual walking of the walker 40 and to detect the precise position of walking.
