Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously produce a flattened preform having a specular property and without any wrinkle at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: This forming device is formed with the part 4 for heating the plural receiving die units 2 wherein receiving dies are freely rotatably supported, the part 5 for sending the heated units 2 held by a supporting arm 18 directly below a glass melting part 3 and supporting the unit 2 charged with molten glass on the rotary disk 23 of a rotating mechanism 6, the mechanism 6 for rotating the unit 2 on the rotary disk 23 and exerting a centrifugal force on a molten glass in the unit 2 to form a glass gob having a flat surface and the part 7 for holding the unit 2 positioned at the outlet 27 on the disk 23 with a discharge arm 41 and discharging the unit from the disk 23.
