Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such a device that the efficiency for photodecomposition and filtration of ozone collected through a duct is improved, the structure of the device is minimized and simplified, a long life of the filter is obtained and filters are easily exchanged.
SOLUTION: A part of the wall of a duct means 101 is provided with a transmitting member 101d so that the light emitting from a light source 103 transmits through the transmitting member and irradiates the ozone flow in the duct to decompose ozone by light. The ozone flow is sucked by a ventilation fan 100, while ozone not decomposed by light is removed by an ozone filter 102 and ventilated. As for the light source, UV rays (not shown) emitting from a part of the fluorescent lamp contributing to formation of images are preferably used. Or, a resistance imparting means (not shown) is preferably disposed so as to generate constant distribution of the flow rate of the ozone flow entering the ozone filter.
