Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of engine performance caused by Helmholz resonance phenomenon in a two-cycle engine.
CONSTITUTION: A two-cycle internal combustion engine for particularly a motr saw (saw with an engine) includes a crankcase 12, a fan housing having an impeller 20, and a caburetor chamber 17 having a caburetor 16. An intake passage 15 connects the caburetor to the crankcase and the caburetor chamber is connected via an inlet passage to the fan housing at the outlet side of the impeller. The caburetor chamber 17 has an opening connected to atmosphere or to a lowpressure zone of the fan housing.
