Abstract:
To provide an electromagnetic contactor which improves operation characteristics of a movable plunger without using an auxiliary yoke and a permanent magnet for attracting the movable plunger when an excited state of an exciting coil is cancelled.SOLUTION: An electromagnet unit 3 in an electromagnetic contactor 1 comprises: a movable plunger 31 coupled to a movable contact 25; a first armature 32 mounted in one end of the movable plunger 31 at a side of the movable contact 25; a second armature 33 mounted in the other end of the movable plunger 31 at an opposite side from the movable contact 25; an exciting coil 34; a magnetic yoke 36 in which the movable plunger 31, the second armature 33 and the exciting coil 34 are accommodated and with which the first armature 32 is brought into contact by moving from a separate position when the exciting coil 34 is excited; and a return spring 37 which returns the first armature 32 to a position separated with respect to the magnetic yoke 36 when the excited state of the exciting coil 34 is cancelled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
