To improve the durability of the inner wall of a furnace body and provide a device for melting treatment that has a high throughput per supplied electric energy in a high-frequency electromagnetic induction heating method where the inside of the furnace is filled with conductive heating elements.
The melting treatment device is equipped with a furnace body 1 that has an upper charge port 30 and a lower tapping port 4, conductive heating elements 5 filled inside the body 1, a wall made of a refractory material that is placed on the inner face of the side wall of the furnace body 1 and a high-frequency electromagnetic induction coil 3. In the coil 3 placed on the outer face of the side wall, heat is generated by heating conductive heating elements 5 through high-frequency electromagnetic induction heating. In the device, an object 6 to be melted supplied from the upper input port 30 of the main furnace body 1 is melted and is discharged outside as melt 11 from the lower tapping port 4. Cylindrical bodies 20 made of a dense fire-proof material that has an apparent porosity of 10% or lower are provided inside the wall made of the fire-proof material to restrain the contact of the melt 11 with the inner wall of the reactor body.
