A bar 1 is transferred from a belt conveyor having a slide mechanism for arranging bars on a working table with a gap capable of accepting one bar, a cushioning material 8 is supplied to cover the whole bar 1, the bar 1 is transferred from the belt conveyor having the slide mechanism for arranging the bar in the gap on the working table 4, and by cutting the cushioning material 8 is cut, the cushioning material 8 is alternately supplied in a staggered manner between the bar 1.
