To simplify the configuration of a band feeding device by reducing the parts number, and to miniaturize and simplify a speed reduction drive mechanism.
A single touch roller 20 as a rotatable driven roller is provided on the free end 22a of a turnable support arm 22. By changing over the angle of inclination of the support arm 22 by a predetermined change-over mechanism 26, this single touch roller can be selectively moved and held at the pressing position with either of a forward drive roller 12 or a reverse drive roller 14 which are continuously provided and separated from each other, or the retracting position from the drive rollers 12 and 14. The pressing force of the touch roller 20 with respect to the reverse drive roller 14 included two kinds, i.e., the large force and the small force according to the position of a cam 28. By changing the cam position associated with the rotation of the cam 28, the touch roller 20 is pressed against the reverse drive roller 14 harder than when a band 15 is pulled back so that the reverse drive roller 14 can be used for tightening the band 15 in addition to the pulling-back of the band 15.
