To provide a device and method for inputting combustibles into a melting furnace capable of positively preventing a reverse flow to an input path of combustible gas generated in the melting furnace, and allowing input into the melting furnace of even combustibles of uneven size such as ASR as they are without enlarging the whole facility of the melting furnace.
Combustible conveying means 3 and 4 are provided for intermittently conveying combustibles in a combustible input opening 1a direction of the melting furnace 1, a combustion support gas introducing means 5 is provided for introducing combustion support gas pressurized to a predetermined pressure or more to conveyance path midway parts of the combustible conveying means, and combustibles conveyed by the combustible conveying means 3 and 4 are inputted into the melting furnace along with the combustion support gas introduced by the combustion support gas introducing means 5.
