Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable polishing scissors so that they cut sharp, while making the amount of polishing as little as possible, by polishing the scissors with the outside surfaces of their blades pressed against a polishing part so that the polishing part makes sliding contact with the scissors from their ridges toward edges. SOLUTION: Blades 2, 3 can be polished precisely, as they are polished via abrasive grains. Since the scissors 1 are pressed against an elastic polishing part 13, the polishing part 13 makes sliding contact with the outside surfaces of the blades 2, 3, polishing the curved outside surfaces of the blades 2, 3 smoothly in a well-balanced fashion. Moreover, when the scissors 1 closed are polished, the edge 5 of the blade 2 being polished is brought close to or abuts to the ridge 4 of the opposite blade 3, so that the blades 2, 3 are safely and sharply polished while preventing formation of burrs at the edge 5.
