Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the device and method for pressure-welding sheet bars and in fully continuous hot rolling capable of firmely pressure-welding the sheet bars at a stand of the pre-stage of a finishing mill in joining of the sheet bars in the fully continuous hot rolling.
CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a spread restraining rolling mill 3 for executing finish rolling while pinching both side faces of the rough rolled sheet bar 2 and a pushing force generating device 4 for butting the tip part of the succeeding sheet bar 2b after rough rolling against the rear end part of a preceding sheet bar 2a in finish rolling and pushing them into the spread restraining rolling mill 3.
