To provide an audio signal converter device capable of converting multi-channel audio signals without producing discontinuity-induced noise.
An audio signal converter device (shown as an audio signal processing unit 73) includes: a conversion section which reads each of two channels of an input audio signal in processing segments, each of which is shifted by a quarter of a processing segment length, multiplies each processing segment of the audio signal read with a Hann window function, and then applies discrete Fourier transform; an extraction section which extracts a correlation signal from the two channels of discrete Fourier transformed audio signal ignoring DC components; an inverse conversion section which applies inverse discrete Fourier transform to the correlation signal extracted by the extraction section or an audio signal generated therefrom; and a window function multiplier section 83 which multiplies each processing segment of the inverse discrete Fourier transformed audio signal with the Hann window function again, shifts each processing segment by a quarter of a segment length, and adds the same to a preceding processing segment of the audio signal.
