PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a simple summary with which the contents of a document can be sufficiently grasped.
SOLUTION: An object document is inputted by a document input means 1a, a text is extracted from the input document by the document input means 1a, a double term relation is extracted from the text included in the input document by a relation analytic means 1b, an importance degree score is applied to the extracted double term relation by a relation importance degree evaluating means 1c, and the double term relation of the highest importance degree score is selected as an important double term relation by a relation selecting means 1d. Further, according to the priority of relations recorded in a relation priority recording means 1f, a complementary double term relation is implemented to the important double term relation by a relation complementing means 1e and the important double term relation, and the complementary double term relation are synthesized by a phrase synthesizing means 1h so that the summary can be generated.
