Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a non-braking time leakage magnetic field, by forming magnetic paths which curve from an internal surface to the circumferential both end parts of the external surface inside each magnet of and eddy current speed reducer which generates, by a braking drum, a braking force based on eddy currents by a magnetic field from the magnet.
SOLUTION: Inside each magnet 14A, magnetic paths k, which curve from its internal surface to the circumferential both ends of the external surface 14b, are formed. Pressing magnet powder with dies 44 and 45, a front die and a rear die, an upper punch 52, and a lower punch 51, magnetic coils 42, 47 are connected to a DC power source or a pulse power source. A magnetic field is applied between yokes 41 and 46, and magnetic paths k which curve from the internal surface 14a to the circumferential both-ends of the external surface 14b along the magnetic lines of force are formed inside the magnet 14A. Consequently, leakage magnetic field which reaches the internal peripheral surface of a braking drum is suppressed.
