Abstract:

To provide a device for expanding a deflection angle of light so as to control a luminous flux dynamically by a pitch and a yow within the range of ±90°C.

The device is equipped with an initial dynamic luminous flux deflector 14 and a direction mapper of composite luminous flux 16. The direction mapper of luminous flux 16 includes a luminous flux size reduction device 18, a luminous flux propagation adapter 20, and a projector 22. An initial luminous flux 24 from a light source 12 is deflected by only the small angle θ0 by the initial dynamic luminous flux deflector 14. An initial deflection luminous flux 26 is condensed with a luminous flux size reduction device 18 to a luminous flux energy spot 48 on a luminous flux propagation adapter 20, and this adapter sends a light spot to the projector 22. The projector 22 emits output luminous flux to a far visual field 38 of an output space 34 with the larger output deflection angle θ than the initial deflection angle θ0. All components are based on the classical geometrical optics, and the energy of an output luminous flux 32 is in the digit of input luminous flux 24.
