PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily pick up the image of the internal surface of the aperture part of a container and the container at a high speed by arranging an image pickup means oppositely to the aperture part of the container, disposing a reelection mirror between the aperture part of the container and the image pickup means, reflecting the image of the internal surface of the container by the reflection mirror, and picking up the image.
SOLUTION: A support 9 is erected on a pedestal 8 where a carrying conveyor 7 for a nearly cylindrical bottomed aluminum can 1 produced is set, and the device for picking up the image of the internal surface 10 is attached to the upper part of the support 9. A doughnut type strobe light projector 12 is attached to the outer periphery of a wide-angle image pickup lens 11a provided at the edge of the image pickup camera 11 of the device 10. The tapered reflection mirror 13 is disposed above the flange part 3 of the upper end aperture part of the can 1 existing at an inspecting position and attached to the support 9. The reelection surface 13a of the mirror 13 is formed to be tapered so as to form the peripheral surface of a truncated cone. Then, the image of the internal surface of the can 1 existing at the inspecting position on the conveyor 7 is reflected by the mirror 3 and picked up.
