To provide a device for preventing kinks of a wound yarn package, capable of preventing knitting yarns from drooping and forming kinks even when the feed of knitting yarns to a knitting machine and stoppage are intermittently performed by inhibiting the slack of the knitting yarn between the wound yarn package and the first yarn guide.

This device for preventing kinks of a wound yarn package has a supporting base plate 11 for a wound yarn package 10. A rod 12 and a catch 13 respectively standing upright for fastening an elastic member 15 are fixed on the line passing through the center of the plate 11 and on the periphery of the plate 11. The elastic member 15 stretched from the rod 12 to the catch 13 is strained on a slant over the surface of the wound yarn package 10 supported on the plate 11 from the upper part of the package 10 to the lower one.
