Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing a polyurethane foam for polishing pads, which can produce the homogeneous polyurethane foam having scarcely irregular specific gravity by a method not using hollow balloons.
SOLUTION: This device for producing the polyurethane foam for the polishing pads, comprising a tank in which a prepolymer and a foaming agent are charged and a mixer 2 for whipping the prepolymer, the foaming agent and a curing agent charged in the tank, is characterized in that the mixer comprises the first mixer blade 11 and the second mixer blade 21 having their rotation axes in the vertical direction and in that the first mixer blade 11 and the second mixer blade 21 are rotated in such the mutually opposite directions as engaging with each other and as not interfacing with each other.
