Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the release of heat from the fired roof tile as low as possible in an operation for mounting a smoking box on a carriage in a smoked roof tile-producing device in which the carriage is covered with the smoking box and then in which a smoking process is performed.
CONSTITUTION: After passing through a firing line, a carriage 26 having a roof tile raw material 32 loaded thereon is covered with a rectangular box-like smoking box 35 having an opened lower surface for surrounding the periphery of the roof tile raw material 32 in a closed state in a box-mounting section 14. The smoking box 35 has a shape in which the lower end of the smoking box 35 is lowered and inclined toward the travel direction of the carriage 26 in a fall substantially corresponding to the height of the fired roof tile 32. A carrying mechanism for lowering the smoking box 35 is composed so that the smoking box 35 waists at such a position as the fired roof tile 32 on the carriage 26 passes just under the right lower side which is placed at the highest position among the lower ends of the smoking box 35.
