Abstract:
To provide an element substrate which resets or latches signals in consideration of the roll played by each functional circuit even when a transfer error occurs.SOLUTION: The element substrate comprises a plurality of functional circuits that perform a plurality of functions, respectively, necessary to perform recording actions. Further, there are provided: a data identification circuit, which receives data signals from outside and transfers the received data signals to corresponding functional circuits according to results of identifying kinds of data included in the received data signals; and an error sensing circuit, which senses whether transfer errors occur in the received data signals. Here, a latch signal received from outside and a reset signal are made to reflect a sensing result by the error sensing circuit. According to a function served by each of the plurality of functional circuits, a part of the functional circuits is made to latch data signals transferred by latch signals where sensing results are reflected. On the other hand, the remaining functional circuits are controlled to reset data signals transferred by reset signals where a sensing result is reflected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
