To provide a device for supporting a bridge, which can enhance durability without being affected by the intrusion and adhesion of foreign matter to a sliding surface and the aged deterioration of the sliding surface, and allows the bridge to be supported with constantly stable sliding.
Recesses 10a are formed in central parts of both end surfaces of a rolling member 10; protrusions 11a, which are held in a state of being engaged with the recesses 10a at both ends of the rolling member 10, are formed on both side plates 12 of a supporting frame body 11; and the rolling member 10 is formed so that its diameter can be larger in dimension than the height of the side plate 12. Accordingly, when the rolling member 10 is mounted on the frame body 11, upper and lower parts of the rolling member 10 are constituted to protrude vertically from the side plates 12. Preferably, the rolling member 10 is composed of a rigid material such as abrasion-resistant rigid steel; and the side plate 12 is composed of a light metal material, such as aluminum, and a light alloy material.
