PURPOSE: To eliminate the speck of the applied adhesive and to improve yield in coating by providing a paste receiving trough provided with a reciprocating mechanism free to horizontally move somewhere between a paste receiving case and a conveyor in parallel to an extrusion nozzle, and forming a bypass for the adhesive dripped in the case on one or both sides of the trough.
CONSTITUTION: Conveyors 3a and 3b are laid at an intermediate position between an extrusion nozzle 1 and a paste recovery case 2, a plate body 4 consisting of a veneer to be coated with an adhesive such as back, intermediate and core sheets is conveyed on the conveyors 3a and 3b at the speed of about 80m/min, and an adhesive 5 continuously dripped from an extrusion nozzle 1 toward the case 2 is applied on the upper face of the plate body 4 at about 200g/m2. When a plate body 4 not to be coated with the adhesive such as the front sheet arrives, the adhesive 5 is transiently received by a V-shaped paste receiving trough 7 sent out by the reciprocating mechanisms 6a and 6b such as an air cylinder, and the adhesive is recovered in the case 2 through a bypass. As a result, the extrusion nozzle is not clogged by the released residue.
