Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a power to be taken out of an outboard engine for other purposes than navigation and make a power take-out part highly durable by connecting a power take-out shaft to the power take-out part of an engine unit. CONSTITUTION:A starting pulley 16 as a part of an engine unit rotary part is monolithically provided with a cylindrical power take-out part 28, and a connection part 30 one one end of a flexible power take-out shaft 29 can be connected to the upper end of said shaft 28 as to permit disconnection. Also, a primary retainer 33 is fixed to the internal surface of the hollow shaft 18 of a starter casing 17 monolithic with an engine unit, and the connection 37 of a secondary retainer 37 is fixed to the upper end of the retainer 33 with a nut 36. The power take-out shaft 29 is laid as supported on the retainers 33 and 37 and connected to the drive part of a fishing machine on board, thereby enabling an engine power to be taken out for other purposes than a ship's propulsion.
