Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wear of a brake device to be used as an engine assist motive force by recovering/storing energy of a traveling time as compressed air associatively with the operation of a brake pedal and driving a rotary compressor by the stored compressed air associatively with the operation of an accelerator pedal at the time of starting.
SOLUTION: A device includes a rotary compressor 26 for making compressed air when a rotating force is given from the outside and producing a rotating force when compressed air is provided, a rotation transmitting/shutting-off device 22 for switching connection/cutting-off between its rotary shaft and the traveling rotary shaft of a vehicle and a tank 39 for storing compressed air, the rotation transmitting/ shutting-off device 22 is switched to a rotation transmitting side by the detection of a brake operation and a compressed air passage switching valve 31 is selected and controlled. Also, by detecting an accelerator operation below a specified speed, the rotation transmitting/shutting-off device 22 is switched to a rotation transmitting side and the compressed air passage switching valve 31 is selected and controlled. Traveling energy is stored during a brake operation to be effectively used at the time of starting.
