Abstract:
The device has a memory (420) for storing film information, which is applied on a film (110) in a temporal sequence. A time scale is assigned to the information. A receiver (440) receives a layer that is read by the film. A synchronizer (460) compares a search window of the stored film information with a sequence of sample values of the read layer based on a smaller sample rate, in order to receive a rough result. The synchronizer compares another window with another sequence based on a higher rate, in order to receive a fine result, which refers to the position of the film. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method of determining a position in a film; and (2) a computer program with a program code for executing a method of determining a position in a film.
