Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dewaxing auxiliary having excellent improving effect on filtering property when wax is removed from mineral oil or the like by filtration and having excellent workability.
SOLUTION: The dewaxing auxiliary consists of a polymer (A1) containing a unit (a1) derived from an alkyl methacrylate having a 1-16C alkyl group and a unit (b1) derived from an alkyl methacrylate having an 18-22C alkyl group in such a manner that the content of the total of the unit (a1) and the unit (b1) is ≥50 wt.% of the all constitutional units, and the weight ratio of (a1)/(b1) is (0-80)/(20-10), and having a crystallization starting temperature determined by a differential scanning calorimeter of 20-50°C.
