To provide a dial type switch capable of obtaining a good clicking feeling and improving an operation feeling at the same time by reducing operation sound, as to the dial switch equipped with a click mechanism structured so that a slider member is brought into pressure-contact with a wave front from a vertical direction.

In the dial type switch 1 equipped with the click mechanism 8, the click mechanism 8 is composed of: a wave front 9 on which a wave crest part 10 and a wave bottom part 11 are alternatively and radially provided at the end face of either one member of a ring-shaped member 7 or a turnable member 4 in its circumference direction; and a slider member 14 held on the other member side, and the tip part 15 of which is brought into pressure contact with the wave front 9 from a vertical direction. The inner peripheral-side curvature radius Rs1 and the peripheral-side radius Rs2 of the tip pat 15 on the slider member 14 side are set corresponding to the inner peripheral curvature radius Rr1 and the peripheral side curvature radius Rr2 of the wave bottom part 11 of the wave front 9.
