To provide a dialysis catheter excellent in both insertion and pulling-off properties and blood exchange efficiency and capable of preventing the stagnation or the like of blood causing the formation and adhesion of a thrombus.
This dialysis catheter 1 includes a catheter body 11 and a closure member 31. The catheter body 11 has the first lumen 16b communicating with the tip-end hole 22 thereof and the second lumen 16a communicating with the side hole 23 thereof. The closure member 31 has a shape diametrically contracted and inclined on a tip-end side to close a tip-end opening part 36. The side hole 23 is the slot extending in the long-axis direction A3 of the catheter and, on the basis of the outer diameter D1 of the side hole 23, a long diameter d1 is 1.5 times or above and a short diameter d2 is 0.5-0.9 times. The angles θ1 and θ2 formed by the opening edges 24 and 25 on the tip-end and base-end sides of the side hole 23 and the long-axis direction A3 of the catheter is 35° or below. The base-end side 31b of the closure member 31 reaches the certain position of the side hole 23 to seal the region on the tip-end side. The base-end surface 33a is formed along the shape of the opening surface on the tip-end side of the side hole 23.
