PURPOSE: To provide a new diaminotrifluoromethylpyridine derivative useful as a phospholipase A2 inhibitor, an antiinflammatory agent and antipancreatitis agent.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [X is CW1R1, COCOR2, CW1NHCOR2, C(=W1)W2R3, CW1NR4R5; Y is alkyl, CW3R6, COCOR7, NHCOR7, C(=W3)W4R8, (NH)mSO2R9, (NH)mSO2NR11R12; R1, R6, R9 are chained hydrocarbon, monocyclic or polycyclic hydrocarbon or heterocyclic group; R2, R3 are alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl, phenoxy; R3, R8, R10 are alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, benzyl, etc.; R4, R5, R11, R12 are alkyl; W1-W4 are O, S; m is 0, 1], e.g. N-(2-ethylsulfonylamino-5- trifluoromethyl-3-pyridine) pentafluoropropionamide. The compound is obtained from a starting material consisting of a compound of formula II derived from 2-chloro-3-nitro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine.
