Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a diamond compd. which is a component for producing an org. high-molecular compd. excellent in heat resistance, durability, and chemical resistance, and to provide a method for producing the same, and to a thermoplastic polyurethane produced therefrom excellent in the balance among the performances.
CONSTITUTION: The diamond compd. is represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a residue formed by removing the amino group and the hydroxyl group of an aminohydroxy compd.) and is produced by blocking the amino group of an aminohydroxy compd. reacting it with a compd. of formula II (wherein R3 and R4 are each independently an alkoxy, chlorine, bromine, or iodine), and deblocking the blocked amino group. A thermoplastic polyurethane is produced mainly from the diamond compd. of formula I and a diisocyanate and has a melt viscosity (measured by using a 1mm diameter-10 mm length die under a piston load of 100kgf/cm2 according to JIS-K7210) of 5×106 P or higher at 185°C and 1×10 P or lower at 225°C.
