NEW MATERIAL:Dibenzo[b,e]oxepine derivative of formula I {R1 is (CH2)mOR3 [R3 is H, CH2CH(OH)CH2OCH2CH3, etc.; m is 1W4], CH(CH3)CH2OR3, CH= CHCOOR4 (R4 is H or lower alkyl), (CH2)nCOOR4 (n is 1W3), etc.; R2 is 4-(lower alkyl)piperazino, 4-(lower alkyl)homopiperazino, or Y-(CH2)eNR5R6 (Y is NH, etc.; R5 and R6 are lower alkyl; e is 2W5)} or its salt.
EXAMPLE: 11-(4-Methylhomopiperazino)-6,11-dihydrodibenzo[b, e] oxepine-2-acetic acid.
USE: It has anti-allergic activity and is useful as a medicinal drug such as antiasthmatic, etc.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula Ia can be prepared according to the reaction formula, by reacting the compound of formula II [R7 is (CH2)nCOOR8 (R8 is lower alkyl), etc.] with thionyl chloride, and reacting the reaction product with the compound of formula III.
