Abstract:
To provide a mold for joining capable of restraining floating of adhesive joint of a membrane electrode assembly and a resin frame, and preventing fusion of the adhesive joint.SOLUTION: A mold for joining 40 includes a first mold 41 and second mold 45. The first mold 41 includes a central receiving part 41a for receiving the central region 21 of a separator 20, and an outer periphery receiving part 41b for receiving a welding area 22 of the separator 20. The second mold 45 includes an inner mold 45B pressing the central region 31 of the separator 30, and an outer die 45A formed to surround the inner mold 45B, and thermally pressing the welding area 32 of a separator 30 to be welded to a resin frame 15. The inner mold 45B includes an extension 45e extending to an outer peripheral side region, so as to press the resin frame 15 via the separator 30, from the central region 31 to the outer peripheral side region of a membrane electrode assembly 11. A recess 45g is formed in the extension 45e, at a part facing the opening edge 15b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6B
