Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque fluctuation inhibiting control device for a diesel engine, for inhibiting the torque fluctuation of the engine to compatibly attain good drivability and efficient DPF regeneration by preventing fuel subjected to late post injection during DPF regeneration from being returned into a combustion chamber again by an internal EGR device which performs internal EGR with an intake valve temporarily and slightly lifted during an exhaust stroke.SOLUTION: In this torque fluctuation inhibiting control method for the diesel engine which includes the internal EGR device for performing late post injection to regenerate a DPF device which traps diesel exhaust particulates from exhaust gas and for performing internal EGR with the intake valve temporarily and slightly lifted during the exhaust stroke, the late post injection is carried out initially during an exhaust valve opening period for the diesel engine while avoiding a late post injection finishing period from overlapping with an intake valve opening period for the internal EGR device.
