Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the inner surface of a differential gear case to be cutted by the use of only a tool for spherical surface cutting in the presence of only a spherical portion on the inner surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The back surface portions of a side gear 3 and a pinion gear 4 are formed to have a spherical part in order to profile the spherical surface of a gear housing 23. In the case that the inner surface of the gear housing 23 in a differential gear case 5 is cutted into a spherical surface, it is possible to perform the spherical surface cutting by the use of a tool 29 provided with a cutting edge 28 on either side of the front end portion of a rotary shaft 27.
